BLOG #4 703 CAPSTONE JOURNEY If my capstone project was a hopscotch game, I’d say I’m on about square #3. I have a logo I like, a color palette I am 90% settled on, and an infographic that needs a bunch of tweaking. This last week as I began reviewing all the examples of Capstone documentaries my brain began to start creating a way to tell my research story using images and video. At first when I watched the mini-documentaries I got caught up in the story and was reminded just how powerful stories are to humans. Of course I should be using more video in my lessons. It is so engaging. The Kenny Still documentary was very inspiring and when I watched it the second time I was able to start picking out some of the “Ah-ha” ideas.
The mini-documentaries by other LIL cohorts were so fun to watch and humbling. WOW! There are some talented people in this program. Again I found myself getting caught up in the story and their research projects which were so interesting. I had to watch most of them twice to actually focus on the filming and storytelling techniques. Take away ideas:
